mews-ings

Despite all my rage, I am still just a cat in a cage.

I do my A+ thinking right before I fall asleep. Most people see going to bed as the designated unwind, relax, and shuck off the day time. Prostrate darkness for me is when my mind starts igniting like a firework shell in a bonfire.  I don’t mean to imply that during the day I use no more brain activity than an eggplant, but head hits pillow and the inspiration generates. This can be a wonderful scenario as long as the ideas last through the night to be hatched into fruition come morning. Nine times out of ten, Brain chronicles the brilliance and saves it for later, but sometimes I wake up with an especially elusive epiphany flitting around the memory bank like a drunk moth.

You know how you wander into a room, know you came in for a reason, but… can’t remember to save your pet red panda’s life what it was? That happens to me more frequently than a camel blinking in a windy desert, and I have to backtrack to the physical location of purpose formation to get my brain broadcast replay. Those awesome art ideas don’t resurface till noggin meets nest the next night. Well this cat in a cage with the liberated former inhabitant looking on smugly landed in Overnight Brain Storage a couple days ago and here it is all brought to life in vector goodness. Look at me all living by the k.i.s.s (keep it simple, stupid) rule.

You’re in luck floggers (loyal blog followers), today is a See One, Get Two Free deal on becsketch! Here’s two little fabric swatches of designs I created for my Disney Princess inspired shoe collection. I feel like a soap opera, always spouting about something epic on the horizon, but just re-hashing the same things over and over again hoping you’ll stay tuned. So, as long as they don’t become absorbed into the sister-of-the-arch-nemesis-back-from-the-dead-amnesia-plagued-poignant-look-at-the-camera-drama-filled-daytime-limbo existence, I promise – no more talk of the shoe series without visual enhancement.
